Little Me’s™, Ep. 5
Sometimes the hard moments are our teachers. In our past episodes, we’ve spent time showing you how a Traumatized Me takeover can be detrimental, but health requires a tricky balance because we can’t get rid of that part of us completely. For many people, the instinct is to numb or medicate the Traumatized Me, but that only leaves them more vulnerable to pain and less present to the good moments in the long run. Now, it probably won’t surprise you to hear that when the Traumatized part of us is even a little bit present, it can be painful or stressful. So, remember that Relaxed Me can be a helpful teammate to recruit. As always, the key is learning to allow all the Me’s to coexist! Because even Traumatized Me and Rebel Me can be the heroes in the right Little Me balance. Stay tuned for next time when Rebel Me shows us how it’s done!
