Little Me’s™, Ep. 4

The Little Me’s are back with a Team Up Takeover! When Rebel Me and Traumatized Me become activated at the same time, together they unleash a moody version of you that looks for a quick fix. It comes out when we feel powerless and wounded, seeking to take power back in fast but unhelpful ways. We know when this teenager-like self is in the drivers seat by our behavior. Lashing out in anger, drinking alcohol/using drugs in an excessive or medicating way, or acting out sexually in ways that aren’t congruent with the healthy sexuality you’ve determined for yourself are just a few examples! The list of possibilities goes on and on, and we all have those moments. The trick is recognizing what that moody teenager self looks like for YOU and pausing the next time they come out. Relaxed Me and Responsible Me can be helpful in neutralizing the takeover. It can be a tough train to slow down, but it is possible. By recruiting the other Little Me’s, you can remind yourself of the power you already possess and clear the fog to access it. 💪🏻💪🏾💪🏿 As always, health is in the balance. ***Now, I know what you’re thinking. Are Relaxed Me and Responsible Me always the heroes...? No! Stay tuned next time to see how Rebel Me and Traumatized Me can save the day as well!
